can dreams turn into reality?

755pm. i suffer from lethargy. haha ok la, just feeling very tired and sore. i need a good night's rest.. but looking at my schedule, it seems like a dream...

and there are people who say dreams are impossible to achieve. they are simply a figment of our overactive and ambitious imagination, something that can only come true if the world is adapted to us. but in truth, the world is static. it is us - the people - who are dynamic.

but even then, it doesn't mean that dreams are impossibilities. i've always believed strongly in my personal life motto - that life is a fairytale, simply waiting to reveal its happy ending to me. and to believe in that, i know that i must have faith in my dreams. after all, dreams and fairytales are sort of related right...? surreal and seemingly impossible.. =)

The thought manifests as the word;
The word manifests as the deed;
The deed develops into habit;
And habit hardens into character;
So watch the thought and its ways with care,
And let it spring from love
Born out of concern for all beings....
As the shadow follows the body,
As we think, so we become.

mmm i guess i just have this sudden inspiration to write about dreams. in a different context, dreams are the fascinating and intriguing (and yea very weird sometimes xD) images that appear in our minds while we sleep at night. for many, dreams are often the window of our souls.. for what we dream reflects what we think, which is a good indication of our character.

Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be.

and this could actually be linked back to the first context of 'dream'. what we dream to become, what we hope for, and what we wish to be, can serve as a litmus test of our character too. as the quote above suggest, we are only as limited as the extent of our ambition. be appropriately ambitious, and we will only develop and mature into a better person.

which brings me back to the point: can dreams turn into reality?

When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream.
When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality.

well... i sincerely believe that dreams can never turn into reality.. if it is to be accomplished alone. no matter how strong or able a person is, he/she will always need support, especially when confronted with a seemingly impossible task. and thus, i believe that our dreams can turn into reality.. but we have got to first share this dream. share it with a confidante. share it with a close friend. share it with a loved one. share your dreams. =D

yup. so let the world stay static and let us continue to be dynamic. as long as we share our dreams, perhaps one day the much hoped for 'world peace' will even come true.
