secrets

everyone has secrets.

when you tell someone a secret about yourself, you let them into your life. lol, a few days ago yingling xianjie and i were just eating and chatting when we decided to spill a few secrets of our own. while the secrets were more like ex-crush/crush thingy, it was still super interesting and we kept on teasing, joking and laming abt. haha yea, and as a result we did become closer too =D

mmm i think that when you trust a person with something that you value a lot or which relates closely to you, you inevitably form an intangible link between the both of you. and this link will help you feel closer to that person, and at the same time, provide a platform where the friendship can blossom and reach newer heights.

after all, friends can be differentiated into different types.
there are the acquaintances - those whom you say hi to but never really converse with.
there are the friends - those whom you perhaps meet regularly and chat, but only know the person on the superficial surface, not really knowing how great the person really is.
then, there are the confidantes - those whom you really know and understand. friends who share your secrets and protect them. friends who divulge their secrets to you.

yup. lol. im feeling whoozy & sleepy now. so if what i write doesn't make sense, feel free to ignore me x.X

and if you won't provide others the key to unlocking the door leading to your true, naked and inner self, you will only end up regretting it. friends to us human beings who crave social contact are like what oxygen is to fire - we simply cannot live without them. whatever passion, dream, hope we have must need the support of our friends. so twenty years down the road, don't regret what you have not done by doing it now! =)

back to trust, secrets and friends. i wonder why life seems so weird at times - by giving away something about ourselves, we gain even more in return. haha. make friends and confidantes. acquaintances rely on weak and easily disintegrated bonds of friendship that will dissolve into nothingness at the sign of an impending crisis.

when someone share a secret with you, it also signifies the person's trust in you. a good friend will provide a listening ear and shoulder the troubles together, cushioning the pain your friend is suffering. or if it's a good news, be glad and happy for your friend! good friends don't come by often. ;)

k la, i actually anyhow write this post one. dunno how to end off. sianz, maybe i'll use it for my Nonsensical Observations of an Ordinary Boy book and chimologized & make it more organised. lol. im lame. =.=
