today was typical. woke up at 11. played and wasted time till 330. went to bedok library. mugged from 345 to 530. then felt super bored. so went to the closest bookshelf to read something, anything! haha super sian. i think i shall award 'mugging' the most frequently used word this month? i bet everyone's spamming it in their daily convos, msn, sms, etc...

anyway back to the books. then i found this fascinating book. WHAT COLOR IS YOUR PERSONALTIY? red, orange, yellow, green...

personality represents the orderly arrangement of attitudes, beliefs, thoughts, emotional reactions, coping mechanisms that help you deal with life. your personality is what establishes the boundaries through which you live your life. if life complements your personality boundaries, then you will feel a sense of control over your destiny, and you feel happy. however, if life's challenges force you to move outside of your personality boundaries, then you experience stress and emotional discomfort and view life from a negative perspective.

haha can't kope more from the book, else it's plagiarism xD less than 10% so i'm still safe =D yea just thought that the paragraph sounded quite cool so wanted to share it with more people. life and personality... mmm interesting.

ok then i randomly flipped the book to see if it's worth borrowing and i saw another paragraph which got me excited 'cos it's something i thought about before! haha but i can't remember what it was any more xD hopefully i'll come across it again =)

anyway, i used to read a lot. a lot of fantasy and sci-fi ones. mmm but once i come to jc, there simply wasn't any time to read any more. and i'm quite glad i took up reading again 'cos i've like found my FOUR LIKES finally! haha and they are: gaming/sports, reading, singing, and talking!

gaming/sports. enables me to satisfy my competitive streak and provides an avenue for me to constantly hone my skills in something in order to attain the highest peak. it's pretty much about hardwork and talent. talent is when you've honed your instinct to the extent that you recognise the same pattern that lies in many games, and come up with the a strategy to improve one's standards. hardwork is simply constant practice and the determination, coupled with the passion, to achieve one's goals aka be the best =)

reading. it allows me to immerse myself into a storyline and plot and exercise my creativity as well as imagination. lol, but i'm starting to like non-fiction too now that i've discovered that the stereotype of non-fiction books being boring is actually false. and the latter allows me to understand and comprehend things better, offering an additional viewpoint to mundane things in life.

singing. hahaha i only discovered this year thanks to odac (btc campfire) & bb house councillors (hehe all the kbox sessions xD)! lol singing is in a way liberating. you lose yourself to the beautiful lyrics and tunes that pull at your heartstring, and be intoxicated in the melody! and when you sing, you find your emotions becoming aligned with the song. you sing sad songs, you turn sad. you sing happy songs, you get high. haha. =D

talking. LOL. i think talking crap and talking deep both have their attractive & plus points. talking allows you to gain a deeper understanding of another person, no matter if it's nonsense you're talking or about some cheem and deep philosophical thingy. one will come to realise that when a person finally opens up and talk about him/herself, that's when an intangible thread links you to him/her. and that's when you can start building on it and perhaps become fast friends should there be a frequency match. =)

OK! I GOT SOMETHING TERRIBLE TO SAY - I NEARLY DIED TODAY =(
yea i was like walking back from the library (lol and yingxuan said she saw me at bedok??? how come i never see her? x.X) anw and i was walking back. then i was listening to my mp3. and i crossed the road. then (at this point i wish to thank my lucky stars for blessing me with wisdom not to blast my mp3 and good observation skills) i felt, or rather heard, something to my left so i stopped on the spot. and the car just sped past me. !!! plz i think that must have been even scarier than my raft falling experience x.X but thankfully i'm safe and sound =)

ok at night we played imba games and talked crazy again. rold is feverish with his 'dota ranking' ideas. lol. then kai and i were talking about forming this new cca - the c0ol cca! haha and we will do crazy and fun stuff like -
1. music videos!
2. searching for fun and touching stories!
3. start a book of fun and laughter, peace and joy with lots of funny stuff in it so that at the end of j2 we can reminisce and laugh over it!
4. funny photos!
5. crazy interviews!
haha lots of ideas and creativity. hopefully it will pull off. it's more like an unofficial gathering of sorts xD nvm. 1/4 of our jc life has elapsed. we should strive to make each quarter left more fun and fantastic than the previous one! only then will jc life be meaningful and memorable for everyone. =)
