ihc (IV)

haha, last night was too tired both mentally (the flood of emotions that threaten to drown me) and physically (think rbion and ihcs! =)) to blog properly.

last night i took a rollercoaster ride for the first time ever in my life. an emotional rollercoaster. just before they were going to announce the final standings, i could still remember us holding hands, with our fingers linked, just like our how our desires and hopes are intertwined - to see BB win the interhouse championships!

and then they announced which house was going to get 3rd. when they said there was a tie, my heart almost wanted to break. and not so metaphorically really.

but then they announced the results - that BB WON THE HOUSE CHAMPIONSHIPS! together with BW! and it felt great. more than great. IT FELT EXCELLENTLY WONDERFUL!!! ahahaha

to derail a 20-odd point lead, and even managed a short-lived lead against BW towards the end, was something hardly anybody could envisage just 2 weeks ago. it was a day where hopes and dreams come true, a night of pure wonder and magic; the end of a pulsating adventure, and the start of a new legacy. THREE YEARS IN A ROW!!! =)

it was an amazing experience to challenge the "norm" and emerge victorious; more wonderful still was that we chased a belief that everyone else considered to be a fantasy, and together, achieved our seemingly unlikely but thoroughly deserving ultimate goal!!! the final showdown and our subsequent shared victory definitely paid testimony to the saying that "impossible is nothing".

i think at the end of the day, what made the victory so sweet wasn't because of all the calls and messages we made to the whole buckle-buckley about rbion. it wasn't because of the times we stayed up just to beg and plead with people to play ihcs. it wasn't because of all the late nights spent in supporting every ihc. it was sweet, because we ran the race towards ihc hand-in-hand together, and reached the end point as one! =)

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY X10 TO THE POWER OF INFINITY LOVE MY HOUSE D LOTS! AND BB HOUSE COUNCILLORS TOO (especially junwei, sabby, mandy, yewei, wanjoo, melho and jiaying)! NOT TO FORGET, THE 26THS BB HOUSE D AND HOUSE COUNCILLORS! AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, ALL THE BUCKLE-BUCKLEYEANS WHO WORKED HARD WITH US AND REACHED FOR OUR DREAM TOGETHER! THANKS!!!

hahahaha if i were harry potter now, and i'm surrounded by a deluge of dementors, i definitely know which memory to focus my patronus spell on!

and to refer to my previous post that has mention of my 2 aims...
I THINK BB ACHIEVED IT TOO! we won the house championships! and RBION WAS FULL OF BB PEOPLE! haha i think there was more beans there than any other houses! at least for my booth XD
