Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting, that a new world is born.haha today was expectedly fun and interesting. sharynn introduced a game called 'bang!' to us which is really exciting! hahaha at first it may seemed a bit intimidating with its many functions, but after you get to understand the game, it's really fun.
after that, i went to play frisbee with zhizhi, nigel and nicky. eventually, more people trickled in and the game expanded to become really huge. anyway, i have a confession to make: I REALLY REALLY LOVE FRISBEE! hahaha like seriously, it really feels... right. i enjoy everything about the sport, be it guiding the frisbee through the tranquil surroundings, watching its graceful descent or trying out different styles of throwing it. listening in to its bubbly conversation with the wind, it is truly a magical experience. a flick and a throw, a twist and a bend, frisbee is the perfect epitome of a game that demands grace and beauty, speed and agility. most intriguing is the connection established as one completes a union with another person by these simply yet intricate passes. hahaha ultimate frisbee is ultimately fun!
new friends can never replace the old. today's get-together with the scouties has made me realise something - no matter how fun and enjoyable the company of new friends is, the emotional bonds established with old and trusted friends are irreplaceable. it takes time to truly get to know someone, but it takes real sacrifice to be someone's friend.
In other words, men conducted their friendships by doing something, and when they talked to each other, preferred topics like cars or sports rather than themselves. Women conducted friendships by sharing information about themselves, their emotions, and their relationships. Women related "face-to-face" and men related "side-to-side."
