pretty vs interesting

haha, after a few days of sianness, i've finally found the urge to start blogging again.

today was tiring. one full day spent in school. open house. guess that sums it all up nicely. wheeee i also think my house d is getting closer. =)

pretty girls are easy to find. interesting girls aren't.
slim waist. nice curves. good looks. nowadays, it appears that society's perception of perfection lies in the realm of beauty. and for girls, the aforementioned characteristics are essentials in their daily lives, as if these shallow traits define who they are. in older societies where character and morals once stood at the pinnacle of idealism, they have now been replaced by superficial beauty and looks.

certainly, i'd agree that a healthy obsession with looks is only normal, given our high exposure to media that has us conditioned and brainwashed to such constructed ideals. in addition, with the benefits of technology, anyone could simply go for a makeover or employ technology to aid them in their quest for 'outer beauty'. and indeed, we have witnessed cases of girls who took this desire too seriously, with classic examples such as andrea de cruz of the slim 10 case. however, apart from these occasional misadventures with technology, the high probability of success has prompted many girls, both old and young, to look for many alternatives to looking good.

as such, one would find that pretty girls are easier to find these days. unfortunately, the advent of the 'beautification age' has somehow led to the demise of interesting girls. nowadays, many girls adopt the stance that beauty is of greatest importance, and such childish mindsets have led to more and more girls becoming uninteresting.

how would i define interesting? well, in my humble opinion, i would say that an interesting girl simply possesses interesting traits - characteristics and personalities that could interest others, in other words. i guess most interesting girls would also be passionate and enthusiastic. yes, definitely passionate. i always think passionate people > dao/cool people. the latter think they are cool by projecting images that conform to such branding. the former dun need such superficial justification.

okok. tomorrow still must hardcore open house. i think i shall talk about humans and musical instruments tomorrow - how we are so uncannily related. hahaha actually today was quite fun. saigang theory in action! xD

hahaha ANW good luck to the arts ppl! one more day to the end of ur promos! =)
