council retreat

to start off with, retreat has been fantastic =) i really love our exco and wanna thank them for putting in so much effort into making it so enjoyable and interesting. i have learnt a lot from retreat, be it through random conversations, activities experienced, or the reflective sessions.

ignorance is bliss. is that why so many of my friends are sometimes so sad once after entering jc? after all, jc is the time when we begin to realise more about our surroundings, more about ourselves.

we are strong when it comes to resisting pain.
we become brittle when sorrow strikes.

we can become friends by showing others the brilliant sun that always shines in us. but they will never get to truly know us if we were to forever hide our sunsets and sunrises from them.

we can help lift a person's burden, but he/she will still have to shoulder the bulk of it alone. there's only so much we can help.

and sometimes we choose to carry our own luggage of problems alone and refuse to accept helping hands from friends. when we do that, we are actually rejecting them entry into our lives, rejecting their friendship.

you will only realise how important a person is after he/she disappears from your life.
