The boy stood outside his house and stared at the long stretch of road before him with tears streaming down his eyes, cutting a desolate figure in the waning light of the sunset. Clenched tightly in his fist is a piece of crushed yellow paper, wrinkled as if the reader had repeatedly opened it and crushed it, opened it and crushed it...
Goodbye, my dearest friend.
Please forgive me.
Econs was nothing spectacular other than the fact that the Budget 2008 did in fact come out. haha but fate seems cruel for I only had time to read through the 5 planks of economic measures taken by our government to remove imported inflation and reduce general inflation... which did not appear. mmm but it was fun knowing about it. I think the reason why I like Economics so much is because there are many terms in the subject which can manifest as very apt metaphors to describe our daily lives. In fact, apart from its versatile nature in wordplay (oh btw this song by Jason Mraz is also quite nice!), it is extremely relevant in our lives. Things like inflation and unemployment... very soon we will be the one directly affected by them. Right now, I guess most of us are still shielded by the safety net the school and our family have cast over us, and I doubt any of us really know how it feels like to enter the real world.Goodbye, my dearest friend.
Please forgive me.
ok I need to stop slacking.
