time

Time has always surprised me with what she has up her sleeves. She's like a magician, tricking us with a minor display before leading us on to a flamboyant show. Strange, how time seems to weigh most on those who have it least. Is it a trick on our senses? How does time seem to always pass us by without us noticing these precious minutes trickling away into oblivion? Perhaps we just choose to fool ourselves into blind belief that time is a perpetual constant when it isn't. Time is limited. Just like the audience watching a magician perform, we let ourselves believe in the existence of magic, that the impossible is in fact unweaving right in front of our eyes. Hence, the foolish gets fooled.

Had a strange conversation with Li Zheng where we discussed the possibility of time becoming a common commodity where the purchase and sale of time is a commonplace thing. Ignoring the complications that may accompany such an impossible fantasy, won't it be fantastic if everyone has a common good with them that has varying price elasticities of demand under different scenarios? The rich and the poor, the beautiful and the ugly, the smart and the not-so-smart, they no longer seem so special when everyone has something equally precious. It might just do the world some good.

I've seen this quote somewhere and it struck me as being quite true: time wastes our bodies and our wits, but we waste time so we are quits. haha time wasting... we are only human, and we will most certainly find ways to rationalize the various inane activities we spend so much time on. Just as blogging may be seen as some to be a waste of time, others seize the opportunity to share their ideas and experiences. Guess there are always two sides to a coin.

Sigh, mugging is sadness. But mugging with friends has transmuted much of these frustrations into something worth cherishing, something worth remembering. I only hope it will last.

And all of a sudden, I miss my oglings, I miss Oprep, and I miss being a J1.

Tu Amor, I will always be
Tu Amor, means the world to me
Estaras siempre en mi corazon
You’re the one in my soul
And I live for tu amor, tu amor.
