wow, the trains are really crowded these days. I have never stepped into a train as packed as the one I boarded today. Looks like the ERP price increment, spikes in fuel prices and rises in commodity prices have all conspired to lower consumer disposable income so much that a drastic change in lifestyle is demanded. This is in light of the lowered demand for our exports as our currency appreciates against the decline of foreign currencies, most prominently, that of the US, which leads to possible wage decrements or stagnation. As such, the need to save on fuel costs as well as erosion of household's disposable income have provided the impetus to switch to a less costly mode of transport, which in Singapore's case, is our iconic MRT.
hmmm and as I realised this is the first time in 6 years that those nostalgic sentiments are once again surfacing - or more explicitly, this is the first time in 6 years I'm really worried, anxious and slightly stressed about examinations. PSLE was a time when I had dedicated almost all my time to studies with barely any distractions. sigh. As is even of a greater magnitude as compared to PSLE. sianzzzzzzzz
Sometimes I wished I could go back to Sec 2 and re-live it. I would have been more study-conscious, more daring to take up new opportunities and more willing to accept heavier responsibilities. Oh well, thinking about all those 'if's will take forever. Life is good now, just gotta hope that all the hardwork can be translated to better results.
