mmm it's been long since i blog while feeling awake! haha teacher's day comm gonna rawwwwkkkkkkkkkk! and i can't wait for house handover tmr! finally can start working and improving the house =) council's really getting more exciting!!!! all the sacrifices are definitely worth it =)
today was not bad. in the morning, the 26ths and 27ths invest comm planned a sort of surprise for her lol, all we did was act as the ploy though xD then did a card for mrs chia and the class presented her with it after pw. sigh, she's like the best teacher ever! man...
afternoon. didn't bring pe so couldn't play bball with scouties. decided to go get some rest while they throw balls around for an hour. slept in the council canteen, where it was rather peaceful and quiet.
the silence was endearing. after all these months of rushing about to complete one task after another, the sudden experience of tranquility feels somewhat alien and strange. it feels wrong. perhaps my mind and body have been conditioned to be constantly doing something, be it work or play, so much so that a little passiveness can actually evoke such a weird feeling.
but it is also situations like this when time seems to slow down and it actually allows you to observe what is happening around you, to rest, reflect and recall. sometimes glyphs of failure, of disappointment, and of regret weigh so heavily on your mind that it seem to dredge the depth of your soul. as time elapses, doesn't it feel like these tendrils of negativity that could be traced back to fatigue will start enveloping around you, forming a cocoon of weariness and passivity?
that is why the silence is so endearing. it allows me to escape from the chaotic and hectic lifestyle that i have willingly thrown myself into, providing me a moment of respite.
watch and observe in silence, and you'll notice the limitless insecurities that transcend across the huge population of students, of which could likely be traced to the introduction of the opposite sex into our lives for many of us. coupled with the fact that the jc era deeply resembles the age of renaissance, where people gain greater awareness in life, becoming more conscious of themselves, more critical in their observations, and more sensitive to everything, interesting stuff occurs in this misleading buzz of our lives.
shush, and listen to what the silence is saying.
wa, bomb. got so many random thoughts that i'd like to share. xD haha it's always fun and interesting to just write and write lots of nonsense and crap. mmm end of term today, but it doesn't feel like it at all. tempus fugit. time, please slow down! =)
