As an author of books on marketing, I have long known about the contrast effect. It is a principle of perception whereby the differences between two things are exaggerated depending on the order in which those things are presented. If you lift a light object and then a heavy object, you will judge the second object heavier than if you had lifted it first or solo.

The contrast principle also works in reverse. A woman of average attractiveness will seem more attractive than she is if she enters a room of unattractive women. In other words, context counts.

ANW! first day of school was greattttt!!! hahaha this is the first time in god-knows-how-many-months since i didn't feel tired during lessons and lectures. nice, i like. lol, yijing's flaunting abilities came into play when he masqueraded as a physics pro and tried to impress mel with his proficiency. fortunately for him, he managed to solve the question. so i guess all is well in the end xD

after school went council room to study. lol yewei and crunch seriously went bonkers. they were like laughing over everything even when it's not funny. ohhh and today we learnt about the tenth dimension from zhuoyi. yup, TENTH. like the first dimension is a line indicating length. second dimension a fold representing length and width. third dimension then shows length, width and depth. fourth dimension is time. from then on, everything else spirals into the deep, deep chasm of complexity. you may wish to confuse your brain further here.

i would continue to describe my irritation and frustration at my restricted mobility. and the inconveniences caused by this unfortunate incident. but oh well, it's already 220am. finally finished forces! lol somehow i feel the earlier chapters are more difficult than the later ones. weird.
