PROMOS!

promos. it seems like a dreaded word to many irresponsible students. many has proclaimed it to be the bane of their existence (after pw, that is). having seen so many disparaging remarks made against such a maligned entity (e.g. my class blog), i felt compelled to defend it as well as use the chance to enlighten the disillusioned masses.

promos are inherently good. firstly, they allow us to indulge in a massive amount of junk food unrivalled in any other period of our lives. just think about it, during normal school days, don't you find yourself competing against time in a frantic pace as you strive to finish all your work? this results in self-deprivation of food necessary to keep our mind and body healthy. therefore, it supports the premise that promos are inherently good, and that during this peaceful and less stressful environment, we can consume food that we like, leading to a rise of personal satisfaction and consumer welfare. i can picture you nodding your head vehemently in agreement.

promos present unprecedented opportunities. if you're a student, you should be able to relate to this better. after all, having put ourselves through this fun and enjoyable mugging regime for a few months already, we should have gathered some experience. but fret not! if you haven't been aware of the aforementioned opportunities, they shall now be discussed in the following paragraphs.

we live in a heterogeneous society with a variety of distinct and unique individuals that lead different purposes in life. as such, the promos provide us with an all-encompassing and common identity that we can adopt, giving us the opportunity to bond. just imagine, two strangers who have never met before but have undergone this splendid process will be able to communicate with one another on a common topic! strangely, such conversations have been observed to be an avenue where angst and grief are commonly channelled. smiling now? perhaps you have finally begun to see the light.

another point worthy of consideration would the joyous memories spent together during this interregnum of lubricating our brains. such heartwarming memories will definitely set the foundations for friendships to blossom and bloom, especially in the future when we talk and reminiscence about the past. now, i could almost imagine you laughing with glee and shouting in excitement as you recognise the infinite possibilities brought about by promos.

all in all, while promotion examinations may have their share of grief, we must never overlook the positive externalities that can be derived. it will certainly be a great injustice to promos if we were to simply write it off as something bad. therefore, i would humbly advice readers to approach promos with an open mind and not conform to society's myopic view of the subject.

ahaha today has been a pretty tiring but good day. i managed to score a decent and satisfactory mark for my int history essay, whereas physics spa was confidently completed just in time. after that, funx and i took 13 home. that bus was super packed. it was like first time i experienced being sandwiched from all sides! haha quite funny. then we talk a lot of nonsense and some not-so-nonsensical stuff. we agreed that although nice people should be attracted to nice people, life is full of anomalies and paradoxes sometimes. hehe, and i found out something about my senior who used to be in scout! xD

ok time to sleep. enough nickilosophy for a day. =)
