parallel universe

i guess it's not easy when you begin to join an organization that is largely alien from the outset. friends diverge on vested interests, each one of us walking in a new-found direction, hoping to discover ourselves better, intending to navigate foreign lands. they say the new can never replace the old, and that much is definitely true. sentiments built upon pain and grit, cooperation and coordination, teamwork and sacrifice, these foundations can certainly weather the erosion carried out by time and distance. but it doesn't stop me from wishing that i had one of you with me as i journeyed through this largely eventful, interesting, enriching, joyous trek that also bears resonance of pain, sacrifice, hardship, grief.

shared joy is double joy, and shared sorrow is half sorrow.

haha that would certainly be one of the many ideal parallel universes of mine. mmm but it's ok. after all, how do we not know that events happen with a reason behind them? and life is still great in the present, though the increasing workload and responsibilities do at times seem to conspire against me. but for every new assignment and task, i'm glad that i have another friend to count upon and shoulder the burden with.
