FINALLY!

I think I have finally created something that captures the youthful, energetic and vibrant nature of AYC! haha although tougher work lies ahead, I can't help but feel so GLAD that a design that I really like has finally emerged through the various stages of experimentation.

It's been a while since I've done these random pieces of work! haha perhaps I was inspired by the trip with Nette to random art shops where we tried to absorb the arty-farty vibes from our pretty surroundings. It really made me feel like attending some quality Art & Craft lessons, and if anyone has good (and reasonably priced) recommendations, please let me know! I want to learn how to make fantastic art pieces that are NON-digital in nature. Not that I have anything against digital art, it's just it doesn't feel as authentic somehow. Maybe it's just me.

Anyway, one of my greatest wishes is to draw really well. But I probably don't have the patience to pick up drawing now. I think my frequent use of softwares such as Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator has somehow tuned my body to the frequency of immediacy. Subscribed to the notion that everything can and has to be be done fast and well, I have lost the willingness to slowly plow through the readings and practices that are quintessential to picking up any form of skill.

Perhaps some day I will finally be able to sit back and take my time to master the things I really want to learn. But that some day is probably in a few decades' time.

have i mention how much my house mean to me?
from the friends, to the experience, to the memories, to the sweet victory, to the sleepless nights and to many, many memorable moments, it has been a great journey thus far! but alas, all good things must come to an end, and very soon, we will be handing over to the 28ths and a new housed will be formed. =(

nevertheless, the attachment will always remain, and there will always be some intangibles that will always stay in my heart. time may blur the edges of these memories, but they shall never be obliterated. <3 bb!

unfortunately right now, bb is trailing hh by 19 points! sigh, it's hard determining the fate of aesthetics ihcs since it is such a grey area with unpredictable laws governing its uncertain boundaries. but oh well let's not dwell on the past and instead look to the hopeful future!

right now! FIVE MORE IHCS TO GO BEFORE AESTHETICS SEASON IS OVER! writers' guild, musicfeste, chinese chess, international chess and gomuku! AND BB SHALL STAKE CLAIM TO BEING FIRST FOR ALL 5! (hopefully =D)

that's right! so the theme for now shall be FIRST FOR FIVE! GO BB!

WAS GREAT! hahaha it was very enriching and insightful, and really allowed us to get a better grasp of the student councils from jcs like nyjc, njc, pjc, vjc and hcjc, as well as gain greater perspective. most importantly, we learnt a lot of good practices by other councils that can really help our council become more efficient, disciplined and united =D

LIKE fining people late for meetings $4 with additional 10 cents for every minute late. imba? cheo will totally become bankrupt.

the size of other councils really begs the question whether our council is too large. mmm but that would be something to discuss another day.

oh we saw the mass dances of other councils too! very nice and entertaining. hahaha it was truly the highlight of the day, watching the performances. but of course, it couldn't be compared to the ideas and perspectives gained today. =D

all in all, students' council symposium rawked! hahaha and here are some of the designs created for scs =)

beginning of the end

finally passed my oglings their gifts! hahaha spent quite a lot of time on it, but it's really worth it to see everyone so happy =) anw, here's a preview of the cd cover!







wheeeeeeeeeee! mondays are super shiok 'cos immediately after protected time i have pe followed by gp and that's the end of the day! haha after school did some work in the council room and managed to complete maths assignment 10. this yr i'm like 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times more hardworking than last yr xD haha

mmm actually i'm thoroughly exhausted. mind, body and soul. these days i often wonder where my energy come from, often thinking how these depleted reserves of mine could yet produce another indeterminable surge of strength to sustain and weather through the tiring days. with interminable house work and intermittent council work, accompanied by inescapable schoolwork, not to mention the many random initiatives i got myself into, it's really tough sometimes.

but i guess in the end it all boils down to friendships we have. a few comforting words, a friendly pat on the shoulder, infectious laughter, dazzling smiles, relaxing songs-singing sessions... all these helped. and j2s! we have all sort of entered the 'dark ages'! haha have to really support one another.

life is not about weathering the coming storm.
it's about dancing in the rain.

i don't even want to think about prom and graduation.

jc is really short.
that's why i must cherish every day, every hour, every second, every moment. =)

on a dreadful note, VALENTINE'S DAY IS ARRIVING! ggxx. last yr i folded roses for all the girls in my og and class? this yr such a feat is not even feasible - what with council, orientation and the many random ppl i have met, i will just foam and die plzzzzzzzz.

ok ok how about a pseudo girlfriend? xD

weird

this morning. i was damn high and happy. cos of a few things.
it lasted all the way till evening.
then i mellowed and felt sad. cos of a few things.

but anyway, designing and coding a site is a damn irritating and frustrating job sometimes. so i'm too lazy to finish the last stretch of bb blog - which is to include the links. but it's more or less completed anyway.

mmm today was spent playing and working on council stuff. again. but it's ok. i'm getting used to it. but must start doing schoolwork too. else i'll really ggxx when i get back to school.

anyway, spent quite a while and finally came up with a design i'm satisfied with, but may still be subjected to future improvements. click here to view it.

and i heard basketball was super exciting! >< sad to miss it.. but oh well there's still the finals on national day. BB guys made it into the finals and girls are playing 3rd/4th! haha BB FTW! and the contest for overall 1st is ONCE AGAIN btw BB and BW. the recent spate of events have shown the other houses that BB isn't to be messed around with =) hope we continue our streak and pressurise BW all the way! we'll definitely overtake them soon. yes, i can feel it coming.

physics got 44 i heard. meh it's 1 mark away from E. but ok i guess, didn't study much for it anyway.

and tmr will be getting back econs. i can finally find out what word i can form with my grades. thus far it's BBCS. maybe i'll be blessed with a miracle and get an A? then i can form SCABB. haha ><

recently.

recently, recently, i've been very tired. sigh. i guess staying back in school till 10 each day consecutively is finally taking its toll. work, work, work. teacher's day. projectwork. schoolwork. ihcs. match support. and the list goes on. oh well.

at least BB won 1st for touch rugby and 2nd for soccer! =)

there are so many things to settle... if only time would stop.

i think my emotions resembles a chameleon. if i sense discomfort, i'll feel uneasy. if i sense grief, i'll feel sad. if i sense joy, i'll be happy. if i sense hysteria, i'll be crazy.

zZz my mind's not functioning anymore. talking crap.

i think my house d has very nice people. we're all volunteering our help for post-invest-mega-party despite the energy ihcs has already extracted from us.
